Lecture/Lab: Section 401: Monday 10:30 A.M.- 12:20 P.M. in MSCS108
Section 402: Thursday 12:30 P.M. - 2:20 P.M. in MSCS108
Prerequisites: CS1113 or EET2303
Textbook: Not Required. Materials provided in the labs will be sufficient. But Just Enough Unix, 5th edition by Paul K. Anderson is good.
Labs: Unless otherwise stated, labs are due before the beginning of the next class session after they are assigned. Labs can be obtained from this website.  Please print the current lab before class starts.
Programs: There will be two program assignments. They are due at 11:59:59pm on the assigned due date. The handin utility will be used for program submission. Programs should be designed and written solely by the submitter.
Exams: There will be two exams - a midterm and a final.
Pop Quizzes: The instructor reserves the right to hold unannounced quizzes, which would affect the final grades.

Grading Policy:

Grades will be assigned as follows:
100 - 90% = A
90 - 80% = B
80 - 70% = C
70 - 60% = D
60 - 0% = F
(The required percentage for a given grade may be adjusted lower at the discretion of the instructor)

Attendance Policy:

Regular attendance is strongly suggested, but will not be monitored.
Pop quizzes may be held at any time during the class period.
