Blayne Mayfield earned his PhD in Computer Science from the Missouri University of Science & Technology (formerly known as the University of Missouri–Rolla) in Rolla, Missouri in 1988.

Work history at OSU

Dr. Mayfield joined the Computer Science Faculty of OSU in 1988 and currently holds the rank of Professor. During his tenure at OSU, he served seven years as Head of the Computer Science Department and four years as Director of the Institute for Teaching & Learning Excellence (ITLE).
