Dr. Li is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, Oklahoma State University. His research interests include Parallel & Distributed Computing (Autonomic, Grid, P2P, Dependable, and HPC), Sensor Networks, Security & Privacy, and Software Engineering. He is directing the Scalable Software Systems Laboratory (S3Lab). His research has been sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), AirSprite Technologies Inc. (AirSprite), and OSU. He has been a visiting scholar in CS Department of UT Austin, an alumnus of IBM Extreme Blue, a research staff at Center for Wireless Communication (now Institute for Infocomm Research, I2R), and a research scholar at National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University under the guidance of Dr. Manish Parashar.
